3/11/24: Claudine Langille performs at Scotch Hill Brewing Co., in a Benefit by the Knights of Columbus, for Slate Valley Cares. This is a volunteer-initiated benefit. Thank you, MaryAlice!

May & June

Thrift Shop Clearout Events - For the months of May and June, fill any bag with thrift clothing for only $5! Follow us on Facebook to catch each of our multiple thrift shop clearout sales! 

Saturday, 5/18/24: Plant Swap & Sale (11am-2pm) at the Fair Haven Village Green. Find more info on the Facebook Event. This is a volunteer-initiated benefit. Thank you, Jane!

Saturday, 6/1/24: Poultney Town Wide Yard Sale (9am-4pm). Visit our booth in downtown Poultney to browse and shop some of our favorite thrift shop items. All purchases fund the Right to Food Center. This event is organized by the Poultney Area Chamber of Commerce.

Saturday, 6/8/24: Community BBQ (4pm-6pm). Join us on the Fair Haven Village Green, on the north end, for a free community cookout and BBQ. Food provided by Slate Valley Cares. Event organized by local churches.

Friday, 6/28/24: Touch-A-Truck Event (5:30-7:30pm) in Fair Haven. Check out the unique and large vehicles available for show during the Touch-a-Truck event.

July & August:

Friday, 7/26/24: Yard Games on the Green (5-7pm) at the Fair Haven Village Green. Food provided by Slate Valley Cares with the support of the First Congregational Church.

Friday, 8/16/24: "Slate, Paper, Scissors" on the Green (5-7pm) at the Fair Haven Village Green. Food provided by Slate Valley Cares with the support of the First Congregational Church.

September & October

Sunday, 9/29/24: Fall Festival Fundraiser (4-7pm) at the Barn at Kingston Place in Benson, VT. Tickets available for purchase online here, or mail a check with the memo "Fall Fundraiser". 

November & December

November: Thanksgiving Meals For the month of November, Slate Valley Cares invites neighbors to donate toward the purchase and distribution of traditional Thanksgiving meals for every community member experiencing food insecurity. Please donate here!

December: Holiday Meals For the month of December, Slate Valley Cares invites neighbors to donate toward the purchase and distribution of traditional winter holiday meals for every community member experiencing food insecurity. Please donate here!
